Athlete of the Week – Jenna Orschell

This week’s FCHS athlete of the week is Jenna Orschell.  Jenna is a senior on the Lady Wildcat Basketball Team.  Jenna started the season recording a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds in the Wildcats win versus Rising Sun.  She followed up that performance with a team-high 7 rebounds against East Central. Congratulations Jenna!

Today’s Throwback Thursday features the 2000-2001 Franklin County Lady Wildcat Basketball Team.  This team made the Class 3A IHSAA Final Four. Girls Varsity Basketball beats Rising Sun 56 – 33

The Lady Wildcats started the season strong by knocking off the Rising Sun Shiners by a score of 56-33. Jenna Orschell led the way with a double-double performance. She had 13 points and pulled down 12 rebounds. Abby Orschell was second in scoring with 11 points and had 5 steals. Ashlan Hill also scored in

K-4th Franklin County Girls’ Youth Basketball League

Due to a scheduling conflict with youth soccer, the K-4th Franklin County Girls’ Youth League will start a week later than the distributed flier states. The start times will be the same, but it will now start on Saturday, October 20th. The weeks for the league will be October 20th, November 3rd, November 10th, and November
