Franklin County’s Junior Varsity defeated the Rushville Lions on Monday night by a final score of 7-2. The Wildcats used a steady dose of hits and runs throughout the game in rout to the victory. Franklin County’s offense and pitching were the highlights in this game. Franklin County’s offense was able to score in every single inning they batted, and they were able to take advantage of some mistakes made by Rushville to extend the lead.

In the circle, Bree Bischoff had a great game for the Wildcats. Bischoff went all 5 innings, allowing 2 runs (1 earned), 2 hits, 4 walks, and six strikouts. Bischoff’s record on the season is now 6-2.

With the victory, Franklin County’s record now sits at 6-2 (4-1 EIAC) on the year. The JV Wildcats will be back in action on Tuesday night as they take on the Batesville Bulldogs. First pitch for JV game will be immediately following the varsity contest which begins at 5:30 pm.
