The Wildcat girls placed 8th at the Rushville Regionals, just missing 7th place by 3 points. Lauren Kelley and Katelyn Meyer will advance to Semi-State next Saturday. Junior, Lauren Kelley placed 7th with her season PR of 20:14. She was able to hold off Seton Catholic’s Erika Barker and Connersville’s, Tylissa Beckner. The three of them are always in tough competition with each other and respect each other’s accomplishments. Senior, Katelyn Meyer, ran a career best with her time of 21:34. She lowered her time by 20 seconds. Sophomore, Katherine Apsley, ran a great race with her career PR of 24:19. Sophomore, Emma Cabezuelo finished her first year of cross country with her best time ever, 24:44. Junior, Josie Selm, was not able to PR due to an injury that has plagued her for the past two weeks. Finally, Freshman, Kenzie Rogers, had a huge personal best. Her time of 26:27 was almost 2 minutes faster than her sectional time. She has dropped her time from 40 minutes at the beginning of the season to 26:27 at the end of the season. She will be one to watch in the years to come.. The Wildcat Team will be cheering on Lauren and Katelyn at Semi-State!
