Sometimes the score doesn’t truly indicate the quality of soccer and this was the case on Wednesday night as the Wildcats played the Tigers on their home turf.
The Wildcats held Lawrenceburg scoreless until the 34th minute of match play. This is a huge improvement over last year’s game and the first game of the season against top competition.
By the end of the night the Lady Wildcats allowed 7 goals but each one was earned. The intensity, effort and focus of the team was at an all time high and they played the best game they have had this season. Fatigue and injuries were a factor.
A few standout players also had their personal best game includes Kamryn Dozier, Halee Barker, Adrienne Bundy, Laura Edwards and Claudia Mauntel.
