The Franklin County girls cross country team placed 3rd at the Connersville sectional tournament and advances to regionals. Each member of the girls cross country team put in a stellar effort in the sectional race. Junior, Lauren Kelley, placed third with her fastest performance on the Connersville course. She finished with a time of 20:41. Senior, Katelyn Meyer, finished in 11th place with her fastest Connersville time of 22:32. Sophomore, Katherine Apsley, gave a solid performance with her 22nd place finish and a time of 24:52. Junior, Josie Selm, ran a great race, despite struggling with an injury. She finished right behind Katherine with a time of 24:56. Sophomore, Emma Cabezuelo, finished just one second off of her personal best time. She finished with a time of 25:30. And, freshman, Kenzie Rogers, continues to improve her time by finishing over one minute faster than her prior PR from Greensburg. She finished with a time of 28:13. The Wildcat girls had a lot of accomplishments for the first race of tournament season.
