Early Lead For Milan Seals Fate For Franklin County Wildcats JV

Franklin County Wildcats JV watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 20-2 loss to Milan on Thursday. With the loss, the Wildcats record falls to 2-4 on the year.

The Franklin County Wildcats JV struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Milan, giving up 20 runs.

Milan scored nine runs in the fourth inning. Milan’s big inning was driven by singles by Tuttle, Brown, G Davis, N Tuttle, and Tuttle, an error on a ball put in play by H Smith, and a double by M Thompson.

Brown pitched Milan to victory. She allowed four hits and two runs over five innings, striking out three.

Karlie Hahn took the loss for Franklin County Wildcats JV. She lasted one inning, allowing zero hits and three runs.

Laura Hildebrand, Emily Wendel, Sarah Bare, and Paige Hall all had one hit to lead Franklin County Wildcats JV.

Milan racked up 12 hits in the game. Tuttle, Tuttle, and Smith each collected multiple hits for Milan.

The Franklin County Junior Varsity will be back in action on Saturday morning as they travel to Harrison, Ohio to face the Wildcats. They will start immediately following the Varsity game which starts at 11 AM.
