Franklin County Wildcats JV Falls To Harrison, Lose 17-3
Nothing came easy for the Franklin County Wildcats Junior Varsity on Saturday, as they fell 17-3 to Harrison. With the loss, the JV’s record falls to 2-5 on the season.
Harrison took the lead for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third an error scored one run for Harrison, Abbi Kugler singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
Harrison scored 11 runs in the fourth inning. The offensive firepower by Harrison was led by Ashlie Dorsey, Zoey Chesnut, Kugler, Sapphire Sabatine, Karlee Banfield, and Lucy Banks, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Banfield pitched Harrison to victory. She allowed three hits and three runs over five innings, striking out ten.
Hahn took the loss for Franklin County. She lasted three innings, allowing seven hits and 15 runs while striking out four.
Hahn, Morgan Bare, and Paige Hall all had one hit to lead Franklin County Wildcats JV.
Harrison tallied nine hits. Dorsey, Sabatine, and Banks each had multiple hits for Harrison. Dorsey went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Harrison in hits. Harrison stole five bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Dorsey led the way with two.
The Franklin County’s Junior Varsity Softball team will be back in action on Tuesday evening at Greensburg immediately following the varsity contest.
