Franklin County Varsity Basketball team fell to 6-10 Saturday. The Wildcats lost to Hagerstown in a high scoring game. The Wildcats went into halftime down only 5 with a score of 35-30 with 27 of Hagerstown’s points coming off three pointers. The Wildcats were feeling good about the second half but quickly fell behind as they were unable to get consecutive defensive stops. The score was 57-41 at the end of the third quarter but with a huge 32 point 4th quarter from the Wildcats, we were able to eventually tie the game at 65. Down the stretch Hagerstown executed and we did not, costing us the game.
The Wildcats were led by Chad Cox with 28 points.
Freshman Brant Ertel also had 21 points.
