Wildcats win! In the last game of the season for the JV squad, the Wildcats went out with a bang. Quarterback Brady Murray led his team down the field time after time hitting Evan McKinney and Zach Jewell for big play after big play. McKinney caught the TD with a great slant and go route and a perfect pass on 4th and goal. The ensuing drive McKinney made another big play by intercepting the ball and taking it down the sideline and all the way across the field for a TD. The third TD was scored when Murray connected with Jewell down the seam of the football field and into the end zone. “This game was huge for Zach. He’s been struggling with his ability to catch the ball but his quarterback showed confidence in him and his teammates kept encouraging him,” said Coach Davidson. The fourth touchdown came right before the end of the first half. The Wildcats were backed up, facing a 2nd and 35. But after some well-executed pass plays and some nice yards after the catch, the boys had a first down and goal with a chance to score. Jewell ran an out route and Murray found him with another dime for the score. The Wildcats took a 4 touchdown lead into halftime and never looked back.

The second half was all about the defense. Multiple sacks and gang tackles lead to a smothering half for the Bulldogs. Brady Murray added some insurance on a QB sneak in the 4th quarter to seal the deal.

The JV team ended their season with another win and that took their record to a 6-1 on the year. “I’m proud of the way these young guys fought this year. They handled adversity well and got better every day. This game was a great end to a great season. They executed every aspect of the game to the best of their ability. The 2018 year might have the forgettable moments. But I will never forget the heart these young guys showed this year.” Coach Davidson.
