Summer Libecap struck out eight and spread six Rushville hits over seven innings, allowing 4 runs (3 earned) in a 7-4 win on the road in Rushville, Tuesday night. Brooke Otto, Kamryn McCool, and Autumn McDaniel all singled twice for FCHS in the win. Lilly Cramer singled twice for RHS, scoring both times.

Franklin County picks up another road conference victory with a 7-6 win over Greensburg. Blake Ripperger had a quality start going 5.1 innings. After FC jumped out to a quick lead, Greensburg fought back to tie the game with a 3 run double in the 6th. In the 7th, Jake Schnecker doubled in the go ahead run, then came around to score on a Brennan Meyers sac fly. Joe Monroe came in the 7th to earn the victory. Schnecker finished with 2 hits, one being a home run and 3 RBI.

Game Recap

Franklin County spread seven hits over seven innings en route to a 5-2 road win at Lawrenceburg on Monday night. Foster pitched well for the Tigers, but suffered the loss as Brooke Otto (1B, 3B), Summer Libecap (2, 1B), and Kamryn McCool (1B, 2B) each had 2 hits and an RBI for the visiting Wildcats. Ashton McDaniel and Marla Throckmorton added an RBI each as well. The run support was all McCool (7-1) needed as she added to her strikeout total with 12 more today. With 57.33 innings in the book, McCool has now eclipsed the 100K mark with 102 on the season.

Game Recap

The Franklin County Junior Varsity Softball team beat Connersville 5-2. Kendall McCool pitched seven innings of 2 run, 5 hit, 2 walk softball and struck out 14 Lady Spartans.

On the offensive end, Bridget Raible, Ashlee Minnich, Tessa Harper and Megan Murray each got hits. Casey Wright and Kendall McCool each collected two hits apiece. Kendall scored two runs while Ashlee, Erika and Megan each scored a run. Bailee Minnich, and Erika (2), contributed walks to the winning cause.

The Lady Wildcats travel to Rushville Tuesday to take on the Lady Lions.

The Wildcats extended their winning ways to 11-0 by easily defeating a young, inexperienced Lawrenceburg squad. The golf team had six players all shoot in the range of 41-44. Thursday’s performance was both very good and consistent. Wyatt Rowlett took home the low medalist for the match.
