Meet Recap

The Franklin County Wildcat Girls cross country team couldn’t conquer the heat and humidity at the conference meet in Rushville on Saturday, September 23rd, placing 7th. The only runner who was able to gain a personal record was sophomore, Devyn Kerr. She narrowly beat her season’s best time by 1 tenth of a second, but was only able to earn 41st place. The top finisher for Franklin County was sophomore, Katelyn Meyer, who placed 28th. Freshman, Josie Selm, keeps staying consistent and keeps moving up within the Franklin County team. She’s moved from the 8th spot to the 4th spot on the team. Both Devyn Kerr and Kairee Hodapp had better times this year than last year at the EIAC conference, which is a positive as the Lady Wildcats look towards their sectionals on October 7th.
