Batesville High School
Franklin County earned a 10-inning conference road victory over Batesville at Liberty Park in a 2-1 game. Over the next 5 innings both teams threatened to score, but were unable to push a run across. FC was unable to execute in the 7th inning with 2 runners on and no out.
In the 10th inning, Logan Winters, after re-entering after an injury, led off the inning with an infield hit. Trevin Manderschied reached base on a bunt the next batter to give the Wildcats two runners on. After a Winters steal, Tommy Ratz hit a sacrifice fly to score Winters from 3rd to give FC a one run lead.
On the mound, Alex Bischoff went 7 strong innings before giving way to Blake Ripperger who pitched 3 scoreless innings, including striking out the side in the bottom of the 10th to finish the game.
