Multiple Teams · Cheerleaders Donate to Children’s Hospital Instead of Exchanging Gifts

Every year, the Franklin County High School Cheerleaders have a Christmas party, but this year it went a bit differently. In the holiday spirit and eager to spread Christmas joy, the FCHS cheerleaders decided to cancel their team gift exchange, and instead donate toys to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Head coach, Ramonda Stonestreet, said, “The girls came to me and were saying how it was purposeless to have the gift exchange, because everyone just exchanges the same small gifts– how we could be giving them to someone else. They wanted to give back, and a few weeks later, they came up with the idea of getting gifts for the kids in Children’s Hospital.” The cheerleaders are planning to visit the hospital tomorrow, December 22, to hand over the gifts.
