Franklin County dropped to 11-2 in conference play (17-4 overall) with a 4-2 loss to Lawrenceburg at home Monday night. After both teams scored a run in the 1st inning, Lawrenceburg took the lead in the 4th inning, tacking on 2 runs. FC got one run back in the bottom half but that is as close they could get after Lawrenceburg pushed another run across in the 5th. The Wildcat offense was held in check to just 3 hits on the night, 2 hits coming from Cameron Meyers and 1 hit from Brennan Meyers, each recorded a double. Zach Stirn took the loss on the mound despite only giving up 3 runs. Blake Ripperger pitched the final 4 innings after entering in the 4th, allowing 1 run.
The Wildcats will be back in action Tuesday night, weather permitting, with a home game against Greensburg at 5pm.
