Franklin County used an overall team batting average of .552 to earn a 13-3 home win against conference foe Rushville on Monday. On a day where FCHS celebrated the careers of its three seniors, Summer Libecap, Samantha Mason, and Ashton McDaniel, the Cat bats didn’t disappoint. Libecap finished with a single, 1 RBI, and 2 runs scored. Mason went 1-3 with a single and 2 runs scored while McDaniel was 2-2, scoring once. On the mound, Kendall McCool picked up the win, striking out 9, surrendering 2 earned. Hewitt took the loss for Rushville, giving up 8 earned runs, striking out 2.
