Wildcats News · Franklin County Wildcats Girls Golf Team Wins first ever EIAC Championship Title


It took a team effort for the Franklin County Wildcats girls golf team to bring home their first ever EIAC championship title over the weekend. The Cats shot a 363 and were able to hold off the Greensburg Pirates for the win. Sophomore, Dana Branstetter, claimed medallist honors by shooting an 82 and winning in a playoff against Greensburgs, Brittany Biltz. The Wildcats also had 4 players that earned All-Conference honors, Dana Branstetter, Taylor Erfman, Cara Moore, and Kendyl Brack. Coach Mears had this to say,“It was definitely an exciting day! My team was able to overcome any nerves they might have had and went on Greensburgs course and came out with the win. I’m proud of each and every one of them for getting Franklin County their first ever EIAC girls golf championship.”
