Lady Wildcats Soccer wins 3:0 verses Greensburg.
Greensburg Pirates hosted the FCHS Lady Wildcats in the first of two matches this season . This was a game between two of the emerging programs in EIAC . Both Team came out with a touch and go approach to feel each other out in the first 10 minutes of play . The game teeter toddle in mid field until the Lady Wildcats short pass and controlled play took over. Penetration inside the 18 was limited and the Wildcats took to the air with shots outside the box. Stephanie Reece hit the first goal within 15 minutes of play to nail the left corner from above the 18. The half ended 1:0 in favor of Wildcats.
Second half started with a big push by the Pirates, looking to penetrate the Wildcats defense. The Lady Pirates nailed some quick shots and nicely placed crosses where the Wildcats Keeper Teresse Ariens came up with some diving saves to preserve her shut out. The Wildcats offense however did not stagnate and mixed it up with outside shots along with deeper penetration in the box. Pirates Keeper McKella Lynette had 15 saves denying the FC Ladies. The continual change up approach by the Cats final produced a second goal from a corner with a header by Gabby Mitchum putting the Wildcats up 2 : 0. Then at the 24 minute mark, Stephanie Reece nailed a shot from just beyond mid field to seal the fate of the Pirates 3:0.
