With the wildcats being 5-2, they will face a tough Harrison team this Friday night. With this being the last regular season game, the Wildcats look to keep their momentum rolling right into the postseason. Coach Kennedy talked about what kind of emphasis this week’s game will need. “We want to be playing our best football. We need to have a shorter, more intense practices so we stay healthy. We have to have a good week of preparation.” Kennedy mentioned the little mistakes being a big part. “We need to clean up our mistakes. We look to be playing our best football heading into the playoffs.” With sectionals being right around the corner, there may be a lack of focus on this week’s game but more on next week’s sectional game. “We know that our coaching staff is focused on Harrison. As an athlete you have to be most focused on what is ahead of you. First things first, definitely this Friday’s game.” With Fall Break being next week, the football team will be faced with a change in routine. “To whatever degree, not being in routine can cause bad things to happen. Practice routine will be the same but, it will challenge the athletes to take care of themselves.” Coach Kennedy spoke about humans being creatures of habit. “We need to make it as regular and as normal as any other week as we can. We can’t let the little things affect us going into the postseason.” This Friday night, the Wildcats travel to Harrison Ohio to face a tough, eager opponent as they look to improve to 6-2.
