Game Recap

Franklin County finished the regular season with a 6-2 win over Cambridge City Lincoln on Tuesday night. Prior to the game, Coach Windle was honored and presented a team picture in his final home game as head coach. Windle has been the head coach since 2004.

With all 8 Wildcat seniors in the starting lineup, Cameron Meyers took the ball on the mound and earned the win. Meyers pitched 6 efficient innings, allowing just 2 runs. CC Lincoln was hitless until a lead off single in the 6th inning. Grant Smith pitched the final inning to secure the win.

The Wildcats finished the season 19-4 and EIAC champions. We also wish the best to seniors Brandon Ball, Layton Bowling, Sam Krider, Cameron Meyers, Tyler Miller, Kannon Sams, Bradley Singer and Zach Stirn.

FC was scheduled to play Batesville in the first round of sectional Thursday but it was rescheduled due to rain. FC will now play Batesville on Friday night at 5:30 at Madison Consolidated High School.
