Game Recap

Franklin County secured first place atop the EIAC this season with a 4-2 victory over Greensburg. The win finishes FC at 12-2 in conference place, which is enough to put them out of reach of any conference teams and give them the outright title.

Sam Krider pitched a complete game on the mound, earning the win and pushing is conference record to 6-0 with a sub-2.00 ERA. Despite wet and cold conditions, the Wildcats kept the Pirate offense in check. FC got RBI hits from Joe Monroe and Cameron Meyers on the night.

FC finishes the regular season at home Friday vs. Cambridge City Lincoln.

Tuesday was also the state tournament drawing. FC was placed in the lower half of the sectional bracket and will face Batesville in round 1 next Thursday at 5:30. The winner of that game will play the winner of Lawrenceburg/South Dearborn on Friday at 7:30. This year’s sectional will be held in Madison.
